On top of this, he is a trainer at Tasmanian domestic competition games each fortnight, as well as local amateur side DOSA in the Old Scholars Association, and at STJFL matches. Not only is he trainer at AFL he also does other sports as well. He is so well respected, he now also takes training courses to train up new trainers in the local associations. Not only does he help look after Tasmanian players but has been known to help other States out as well at the Carnivals.

Lawrie works hard to get a good bunch of trainers together to go away each year to the National Carnivals, and because of his popularity and great personality, he has often had to turn trainers away due to having too many!

Lawrie also manages all the media and photo presentations for our Annual After Carnival Dinner and posts a lot of photos for our group. In 2022, he embraced the PlayHQ system and was a great help in doing so.

A very worthy inductee.

Welcome to the AFL Masters Hall of Fame Lawrie!
