We are pleased to welcome Dean Wallington as the newly elected President of National AFL Masters. Dean was officially appointed at the Annual AGM held in Darwin on Friday.

Dean brings a wealth of experience and dedication to AFL Masters, having contributed to various leadership roles, including: Many years of active involvement at both State and National levels across sporting and professional associations. Serving as President of his local Masters Football Club, Vice President of AFL Masters QLD, and a General Committee Member for AFL Masters QLD. Playing a key role in the Carnival Organising Committees for multiple Queensland-hosted AFL Masters Carnivals.

Dean’s Vision for AFL Masters National
Dean’s leadership will focus on:
• Stronger transparent communication and rebuilding collaboration with State Presidents.
• More frequent engagement between the National Board and State Presidents.
• Validation of State expectations and the role of the National body.
• Ensuring adherence to the AFL Masters constitution.
• Timely implementation of SAPA action plan recommendations.
• Enhancing the selection and delivery process for National Carnivals, ensuring fair benefit and shared responsibility between host States and AFL Masters National.
