Thank You, Adrian Raftery
AFL Masters would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Adrian Raftery for his time, dedication, and service in the administration, promotion, growth, and advancement of AFL Masters as General Manager.
Since joining in 2020, Adrian has played a pivotal role in the growth of our game, increasing team participation by 26% and delivering record-breaking AFL Masters National Carnivals in Adelaide, the Sunshine Coast, and Fremantle.
A passionate advocate for the sport, Adrian has championed the AFL Masters International Rules experience, providing players with greater opportunities to develop and expand the game. His extensive financial expertise has also been instrumental in securing a strong and stable future for AFL Masters, navigating the challenges of COVID-19, and securing grants to welcome new players and families into our community.
Looking back on Adrian’s appointment in 2020, there’s no doubt he has made a lasting impact. As he said back then:
🗣 “I’m excited about helping the code continue to grow, especially the women’s competition. I sponsor many local teams, especially women’s sides, and I’ve seen Masters grow, from Superules with players over 35 into AFL Masters with players over 60. I’m looking forward to seeing that happen with the women across the states.”
On behalf of AFL Masters, we thank Adrian for his outstanding contributions and wish him and his family all the very best. We look forward to seeing him back on the field at a National Carnival soon!
