Where will the 2025 AFL Masters National Carnival be held?

The magnificent Optus Stadium will hold the 2024 AFL Masters National Carnival Gala Presentation Night on Saturday 5 October 2024 from 6.30pm to 11.59pm.

Join us as we celebrate the end of the second biggest ever AFL Masters National Carnival in our 44 year history and listen to the announcement of the Best & Fairest players as well as the presentation of the AFL Masters All Australian Teams for each age group.

The 1999 Coleman Medallist Scott Cummings will be our MC for the night and sure to talk about his experiences at Essendon, Port Adelaide, West Coast and Collingwood.

Tickets for the Gala Presentation Night are already included in the National Carnival registrations for all players but additional tickets for non-playing participants as well as family & friends can be purchased via each State’s or Territory’s respective carnival committee. Aside from overlooking one of the best grounds in Australia with a generous 5 hour food and drink package, patrons will be entertained by a live band Tod Johnston & PeaceLove will be playing 3 sets in the main area (River Room 1, 2 & 3) whilst there is a DJ in the Sports Lounge for the younger ones.

State/Territory shirts are to be worn.

The night will conclude with the traditional announcement of the host city for the 2025 AFL Masters National Carnival. Where will it be?

2.00pm: The Camfield (opposite Optus Stadium) open
4.30pm: All-Australians & photo schedule announced via TeamApp
5.30pm: Optus Stadium Gates open (note function not open til 6.30pm)
5.30pm: First buses to depart Fremantle (Esplanade Hotel, Fremantle Station, South Fremantle FC) & South Perth (Comer Reserve)
6.00pm: First buses to start arriving
6.30pm: Gala Night Function open
6.30pm – 7.20pm: All-Australian Photos (M40s; M35s; M60s; M65s; W35s)
7.30pm – 8.30pm: Formalities (Speeches; Comp winners; Best & Fairests; 2025 Carnival announcement)
8.30pm – 9.20pm: All-Australian Photos (M45s; M50s; M55s; W40s)
10.30pm: First buses depart
11.00pm: Drinks package finishes
11.59pm: Event close
12.00am: After-party venue opens
2.00am: After-party venue closes

o No wristbands this year – entry will be via your name at the door – no registration, no entry (State non-players ensure you have purchased ticket via your designated State or Territory representative)
o Any bags will be checked on arrival so suggest not to bring them if possible
o NO BYO food or drink
o There will be NO tolerance for inappropriate behaviour/intoxication
